I just happened upon your site looking for info on Umbrellas. I just recently was given an umbrella and a goffin. I already own a bare-eyed. Just as you explained it..."Bubba" does the whole snuggle up under my chin thing and gets under the covers with me and clicks his beak also. He plays peakaboo and says a few words.
Isn't is amazing how some people can be so cruel to these magnificent creatures?
What do you feed your umbrella? Does she get nippy at times? I've only had Bubba for a week and am real careful of who I let around him because I don't know much about his behavior other than when my daughter walked by one day he flew off my shoulder and nipped her in the back of the head. Now she is terrified of him. I think he is jealous and territorial when it comes to who he will let near me. When I come home from work...he goes nuts with his calling out for me. He wants out of that cage right away. Like I said....it's hard to let him out when my kids and hubby is around. The other day my hubby came into the kitchen and as soon as Bubba saw him he flew off of me and onto his shoulder. He put his crest up and came around my hubbys shoulder toward his face. I don't know if Bubba was going to bite him or if he was going to have a closer look...but it made me nervous so I took Bubba off of him with a towel. My hubby has never been around birds and really doesn't interact with them much other than now the goffin is in love with him and always on his shoulder. This is a good way of turning him into the bird fanatic I am....lol
Anyway...good luck and keep in touch with me. I would like to know more about umbrellas.
